Oak Field School

Parents Evening

Re: Parent Evening – Wednesday 13 November 2024 3.50-6pm

Dear Parent/Guardian(s)

Please come to this term’s Parent Evening on Wednesday 13 November, from 3.50-6pm. You can find out about your child/young person’s curriculum, progress and achievements, and look at some of this term’s work so far.

Please make an appointment to see your child’s teacher, using the Arbor parent portal

If you haven’t logged into Arbor yet, we will be happy to send you the Welcome email again so you can do this and book the appointment - please contact the school office to request this.

Please book your appointment by Tuesday 12th November. This is really important. Unfortunately we will not be able to take any bookings after 10pm on that day.

Glenys Clifton (Governor) will be here to welcome you and will invite you to fill in a parent questionnaire.  The teachers will be sitting in the Key Stage Event Spaces. Richard Pilcher (PE), Andrea McKenzie (Art), Imogen Poole (Music) and Caitlyn Bradbury (French) will be in the Heart Space, also representatives from the NCC Sensory Team (Visual and/or Hearing Impairment).

If you have not yet signed up to Seesaw (to see photos and videos of your child), we will be able to help you to do that.

There will be a crèche available in the Hall during your appointment.

  • If you have booked an appointment to start before and including 4.10pm and would like your child/young person to stay in school until approx. 4.30pm, when you collect them, please book this in advance using the note section on Arbor when booking your appointment. If you need to change this, please phone and ask to speak directly to Susy Wilson.  Please also make sure you inform Transport Services (school buses).
  • If your appointment is booked to start after 4.10pm, your child/young person will come

home after school as usual. If they return to school with you, they may use the crèche then, as appropriate – the Complex Health Needs nursing lead will be here until 4.30pm.

If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact school.  We look forward to seeing you a week on Wednesday.

Yours sincerely

Patricia Lewis (Headteacher)
