Re: Saturday Morning Fun Pool sessions at Oak Field School
Dear Parent/Guardian(s)
We are opening our shallow warm water pool (max depth: 1.3 metres) on four Saturday mornings in June/July. We hope this will be helpful especially for our pupils who have limited mobility, for whom the warm water and calm, sensory environment will be beneficial. The cost is £3.25 per person.
There will be a ‘spotter’/First Aider at the side of the pool, but no lifeguard or medical/ health support staff on site. Parents will be responsible for the safety of their own child(ren), and must bring with them any medication/oxygen/health equipment that their child might need. If your child usually wears continence pads, they will need to wear swim pants in the pool – please see attached information re Incy Wincy products.
We are offering a choice of 2 sessions: 10am-11am, or 11am-12 noon – the changing rooms will be open from 9.30am-12.30pm.
The dates are:
If you would like to attend any or all of these sessions, please return the attached slip as soon as possible, since places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Payment must be made in advance, by the Thursday before the session, and can be made online via the School Gateway (this is our preferred option), or in cash.
If you need to cancel a booking for any reason, please let us know by the Thursday before the swim, so that we can allocate the place/s to another family.
We very much look forward to seeing you at the pool!
Yours sincerely

Dear Parent/Guardian(s)
Re: After School Clubs: June/July 2023
From Monday 12th June, we would like to run 4 after school clubs for 6 weeks:
Monday |
3.50-5pm |
Gym/Fitness club (for pupils in KS3, KS4 and 6th Form – Class 8 and above; age 11 upwards) |
Tuesday |
3.45-5pm |
Pool fun club (parent/carer must attend) – open to all |
Wednesday |
3.50-5pm |
Camping and outdoor club (for pupils in KS2 upwards – Class 3 and above; age 7 upwards). Parents welcome to join us. |
Thursday |
3.50-5pm |
Sensory fun club (for Class 1 + 2 age 4-7, and other pupils with PMLD) |
We do hope that the pupils will take up these opportunities, but we must also stress that these clubs are for pupils who actively want to participate in the activities offered. If any pupil clearly does not want to take part, their place will be offered to another pupil.
In order for each club to run, we will need between 8-10 pupils to be signed up for them by half term (Friday 26th May). We will let you know in the first week back after half term whether the clubs have sufficient numbers to run.
If you would like your child to be considered for one of these clubs, please complete and return the attached form by Friday 26th May.
Yours sincerely
Patricia Lewis (Headteacher)
